Dr Peter Coffey

BSc MB BCh BAO DRCOG MICGP

Dr Peter Coffey graduated from Medicine in University College Cork in 2012. In 2013, he commenced Core Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine with the Royal College of Surgeons. After completing this in 2016 he commenced post-graduate training in General Practice with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. He graduated from the Irish College of general practitioners in 2020. 

 

Peter has a special interest in Lifestyle Medicine, Preventative Medicine, Sports and Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He is a qualified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner and is a member of both the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Peter has also completed training with the Irish College of General Practice in Musculoskeletal Medicine. He worked in Orthopaedics and completed training with the Kingsbridge Training Academy in Joint Injections.

  • Preventative Medicine

Peter is from West Cork and lives on his family farm. He is married with two children. He enjoys cycling, kayaking, gardening and hiking. He previously volunteered with the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team.
